Student Life Advisory Council
The Student Life Advisory Council (SLAC) is a team of student volunteers dedicated to sharing their unique perspectives, gathering insights, and helping shape the overall ÄÛ²ÝÊÓƵ Fox student experience.
We bridge the gap between students and university leaders by bringing direct campus feedback right to the decision-makers. Without the constraints of traditional governance structures, the council focuses entirely on open dialogue to enhance the student experience.
How It Works
The council brings together a group of eight to 10 students from across campus to meet once a month throughout the academic year. These 60-minute sessions are run by the VP for Student Life and Athletics and the dean of student care and operations, who bring top campus topics, upcoming plans, and student experience initiatives to the table for honest discussion and feedback.
We are actively seeking diverse perspectives from all corners of campus to ensure we are capturing the full student experience.
Why Volunteer Your Voice?
-
Direct Influence: Speak directly with senior campus administrators to share what is working and what needs improvement.
-
Low Time Commitment: Shape the campus environment with just a one-hour monthly meeting commitment.
-
Be Known: Ensure that your specific community and experiences are actively heard and understood.
Get Involved!
If you are interested in providing feedback and serving as a voice for your peers, we want to hear from you.
